Currently, there are over 250 roles within our growing professional community and our work is critical to the delivery of c. 拢250m of project investment every year towards our charitable purpose and for public benefit.

Project and Programme Management at the ACG动漫

Projects and Programmes are central to how the ACG动漫 delivers its strategic ambition, For Everyone, For Ever. The roles are varied and provide opportunities to work with a range of people on some of England, Wales and Northern Ireland鈥檚 most historic places and landscapes. No two days are ever the same. In this short video, hear from a few members of the project management profession and find out what they love about their role.

Typical roles

Project Co-ordinator

You鈥檒l play a vital role in supporting the Project Manager, Project Board and Project team, to ensure things run smoothly and ambitions are achieved. You鈥檒l co-ordinate the provision of appropriate resources to meet the needs of the project and may be working on aspects of project finances, communications, controls and reporting.聽

Project Officer

In this role, you鈥榣l be responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of smaller projects or leading particular work streams of larger projects or programmes. You鈥檒l apply elements of the Project Management Framework as needed to provide an effective project management service.

Project Manager

Bringing your experience of managing a variety of previous projects from start to finish, you鈥檒l be responsible for leading large-scale projects and delivering 鈥渟uccess by design鈥�, in accordance with our Project Management Framework. As a qualified Project Management professional, you鈥檒l also be encouraged to provide support for the development of those less experienced through mentoring, guidance and advice.聽

Senior Project Manager

As you lead the delivery of our largest and most complex projects, you鈥檒l bring your wealth of experience and know-how as a master of the trade. Ideally, as a Chartered Project Professional, you鈥檒l provide project management expertise and leadership that helps to develop the profession and provide mentoring for Project Managers of smaller projects.聽

Senior Programme Manager

This role is all about establishing and building high performing delivery teams to realise our strategic objectives through projects and programmes. You鈥檒l look for opportunities for more effective and efficient ways of 鈥渕aking it happen鈥�. As a peer of our Senior Project Managers and ideally as a Chartered Project Professional, you鈥檒l provide programme management expertise and leadership that helps to develop the profession, as well as mentoring for Programme Managers to oversee smaller projects.

This could, for example, include helping you to study for a professional qualification appropriate to your career, trying something new or moving into a different business area. We鈥檒l work with you to plan your development in a way that鈥檚 right for your needs.

Induction.聽Your learning in the Trust starts with your induction. Whatever role you're here to do we'll explain what to expect, show you where to go and make sure you understand your new environment before you get going.聽

Personal career progression development programme.聽One size doesn鈥檛 fit all when it comes to development. Tailored to you our 鈥楪row Your Own Career鈥� approach is in place to help you identify where you see your career heading, and the best ways to get there.聽

Learning resources. We all learn in different ways and respond to different styles. It鈥檚 what works for you, whether that鈥檚 on-the-job training, flexible e-learning or one-to-one support. And in an organisation of our size and diversity, there鈥檚 plenty of room to develop and places to go.

Future Engage and Deliver leadership programme. If you鈥檙e in a management role we鈥檒l support you to become a better leader through our 鈥楩uture Engage and Deliver鈥� leadership programme. The programme is designed to make sure you鈥檙e well-equipped with the skills and confidence to lead your teams to deliver our plans.

Professional subscriptions.聽If you need to hold a qualification for your role, from either a legal or professional point of view, we鈥檒l cover the cost of your membership fee. We鈥檒l need to see that it鈥檚 part of your continuous professional development, though.

Employee volunteering. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the ACG动漫 and many other charities. That's why we'll give you every opportunity to get involved with some volunteering outside the Trust. It's also a brilliant way to try new things, learn new skills and meet new people. So we'll give you up to five paid days per year to do your bit.

Secondments. Secondments are an excellent way for you to gain and practise new skills in real life situations, preparing you for a potential next career move. They usually last from three to 12 months 鈥� ideal for temporary or project roles.
